Crazy to think that Landon is already a month old!! He is getting so big!!
Here is a review of the past week and the past month!
This past week Landon got to meet his great-aunt Bonnie. Bonnie and Suz came through Ankeny on their way to Kansas City and decided to stop and visit. Landon had a great time cuddling with his aunt!
We have gone on a couple more walks. It seems that anything involving the car seat is an instant way to get him to sleep. He is a great sleeper in the car and on walks.
The bath has become a more enjoyable experience. He has a little bit of shock getting into the water, but after that he seems to like it. We haven't gotten an official smile yet, but it almost looks like it in his towel after bathtime yesterday!
Landon also took a big step this week and has started taking a bottle. Matt feeds Landon a couple times a day. Landon took the bottle great, yet continues to nurse without any problems. This has been a big relief for me, so I know that when I go back to work, we won't have any feeding issues.
I also got the official OK from work that I have enough sick leave so I am off until July 18th PAID!!! With 4 weeks under our belt I can't imagine having to go back after only 6 weeks. I am very lucky with my job and the amount of time I will be able to take off.
Landon also had another visit from his friend Ethan. Ethan loves coming over to see "baby Landon." When he held him this time he thought it was hilarious that he could put his finger in the Binky and Landon would bite on his finger. He also taught Landon "This little Piggy." It was sooo cute!!
We've had a week of more fussiness. Nothing we can't handle but gas and struggles to go to the bathroom have been getting the better of Landon. Thanks to our friends Ashley and Kevin we have started using gas drops and they help a lot!! Just need Landon to get a little older so he can figure out the whole bathroom thing!!
For Mother's Day we went up to Ames to go to Red Lobster for dinner. The hostess obviously thought Landon was a big little boy since we got offered a children's menu on our way to the table. Matt and I thought after that we should have checked to see if kids eat free and we could have had a little appetizer :o) I'm pretty sure they didn't have Landon's food on the menu!
We have a big week coming up. Landon and mommy are going to go to the end of year picnic at mommy's work tomorrow. It should be fun for Landon to meet all of mommy's work friends! I'm sure he won't get any attention. This weekend we are taking our first road trip to Grandma and Grandpa Brehmers. We have a wedding to go to on Saturday and Uncle Devin graduated, so we have his party on Saturday as well. Landon finally gets to meet a lot of the family. Wish us luck and maybe say a prayer that our first 3 hour drive goes okay. We will be crossing our fingers for lots of napping!!
The animals are slowly starting to adjust to Landon. They like his stuff more than he does at this point!
