SMILE-55 MILLION-PREGNANT!!

So last month didn't take.  So our last month of Femera began.  I did my ovulation tests that I had been taking for MONTHS!!  I have never detected a surge at home, until this month!  The test actually smiled at me, it was the beginning of a GREAT month.  I detected the surge on Monday the 8th.  I called the doctor and got an appointment for insemination at 9:30 the next day.  Matt and I went in and took our "break" for breakfast at Denny's.  3x at Cracker Barrell, call it superstition but I needed a change!  We went back in and had the insemination.  Matt was pretty proud of his "numbers" 55 million little guys, one of them had to go in the right direction......right???  Our nurse was brand new so maybe that was also helpful.

Day 28 was Saturday the 20th.  I mad e the mistake of taking an at home pregnancy test on Thursday and it was negative.  I was pretty upset.  Then the cramps started and I was even more upset.  Saturday came and went, Sunday I went to the fair and Janet Jackson, still nothing.  At midnight after the concert I went to Walgreens and bought 2 tests.  Well, Matt and I weren't smart enough to see if was a - or + so I decided I needed the dummy proof test.  I stopped at Wal-Mart after work on the 29th to buy a test.  PREGNANT!!!  Matt was home for lunch and we were VERY excited!!!

I called the Dr. and they got me in for blood work right away.  The Dr. called Monday afternoon and my hormone levels were 81...PREGNANT!!  He scheduled another blood draw for today and called with levels of 195, it doubled so we are on our way.

I will have an ultrasound in 2-2.5 weeks and if all looks good, another one 2 weeks after that.   After week 9/10 miscarriage rates drop to less than 1% with ultrasounds, so I would be released to a general OBGYN or "baby catcher" as Dr. Cooper refers to them.

So far, not too many symptoms.  I have been pretty crampy, but I guess that can be normal.
